Am I elderly?

I'm a bit worried. I have just discovered the joy of Songs of praise.
I love singing hymns. Loud. My favourite is How great Thou Art. I even love it when they let lovely Aled sing a bit. theres a lovely Cliff Richardy quality to the boy, and the whole programme really. In fact I imagine Cliffs life to be a bit like an episode of songs of praise. except with more screaming ladies, and wine.

There is a point on the cliffs where we used to walk before Harvey got too decrepit, where I would almost involuntarily burst into How Great Thou Art. But I am old.

I've done that when swimming in the sea! almost drowned though, singing and staying afloat do not mix well

Oh dear. And I was just starting to think you were vaguely cool!

When it comes to cool, Jodie sets the standard.

Jodie, you must be cool: everyone is offering up their Sir C connections in a desperate attempt to keep up with your certified cool status. I don't have any Cliff connection, but then again I don't have any pretensions to being cool either. I wear an anorak, and watch The Good Life.

So in uncoolness, I win.

nice try, but the good life is my absolute favourite.

I have also been on songs of praise, clapping along to 'give me oil in my lamp'

ben, no need, I already own 'You, me and Jesus' by Sir cliff. I read it when I was 10! But thanks for the thought.

Dearest Goddess - your blog is truly one of the wonders of the world. I absolutely love it.

I have a recording of the lovely Aled singing Edelweiss which I think you might appreciate. It brings a tear of joy to my eye just thinking of it.

Was listening to Charlie Hall's version of How great though art on the train on the way into London this morning, and almost burst into song in the middle of the packed carriage. It's going to happen one day ....
